3 Nollywood movies Picked for Hollywood screening in the USA

3 Nollywood movies – ‘Up North,’ ‘Lionheart’ and ‘King of Boys’ have been picked for screening at another publication of the ‘Nollywood In Hollywood’ this Friday and Saturday in the US.

Organizers of the programme said the exercise begins on this Friday (22nd of March, 2019) dusk with a red carpet and beginning night screening of the movie ‘Up North’ at the famous Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Up North’ features Banky W and directed by Tope Oshin, both who are now in Hollywood service of Air France for the exercise.

On Saturday (23rd of March, 2019), ‘Nollywood in Hollywood’ progress to the University of Southern California in the Eileen Norris Cinema Theatre.

The day starts with a council dialogue about recent inclinations in ‘Nollywood,’ accompanied by a screening of ‘LIONHEART,’ the directorial presentation of Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, who also co-scripted and featured in the movie.

The event will end with a screening of KING OF BOYS, the sophomore star by Kemi Adetiba, whose 2016 presentation, THE WEDDING PARTY, broke box office records to be the most significantly watched Nigerian movie.

The event highlights screenings, networking events and parties.

‘Nollywood In Hollywood’ is the creation of Nigerian-American filmmaker, Ose Oyamendan, which ambition is intended to show ‘Nollywood’ films to the center of the world’s entertainment enterprise.

Oyamendan said:

Gwen Deglise, the chief of programming at the American Cinematheque said:

“We are excited that this exhibition gives both our divisions and the greater Los Angeles film viewers we serve, a glass into Nigerian culture and filmmaking.”
